BASTIAN 2018 BACHARACHER WOLFSHÖHLE RIESLING MEDIUM DRY
The single vineyard Bacharacher Wolfshöhle stretches along the valley of Steeg on the side of the Voigts mountain. The soil consists of blue Devon slate and quarz, the layer on top is mixed with clay. With up to 70% steepness this is one of the steepest vineyard in the Middle Rhine valley. The "Bacharacher Wolfshöhle" has the longest sun exposure per day of all Bacharach vineyards which makes a long ripening period of the Riesling grapes possible.
This Riesling from the Bacharacher Wolfshöhle is full bodied with decent minerality and a hint of herbal flavors.
